This
former farmhouse is located in the quiet hamlet of Coombe Keynes, close
to Lulworth Cove and the Isle of Purbeck. We offer our guests high quality
Bed and Breakfast accommodation all the year round (except Christmas).
We
are ideally situated for access to the coast, downs, forest and heathlands
of Dorset, for walking, cycling, birdwatching and suchlike activities.
Local attractions include Lulworth
Castle, Monkey
World and the Tank
Museum. There are also numerous National Trust sites close by, including
Corfe
Castle, Lawrence
of Arabia's cottage at Clouds Hill, Thomas
Hardy's birthplace at Bockhampton and, a little further away, Kingston
Lacy House and Badbury Rings, near Wimborne.
The local market town is Wareham, 8 miles away; the county town of Dorchester
is 13 miles, Weymouth 15 and Swanage 18. They can usually be reached
quickly by road from Coombe Keynes or (with the exception of Swanage
at present) by train from the station at nearby Wool.
We
are now listed in the AA
guide book with the grade of 4 stars.
